My primary reason for wishing to serve on our board is, admittedly, self-interest. I work from home here, so I am likely affected by things at Reservoir Lofts more than most. With such a vested interest in the neighborhood and community, it seems to make sense to serve on the board.
On the board, I'll work to improve things for all of our residents. I'm interested in working with our retail neighbors to reduce hassles from things like noise and light pollution. I also think we need to work with the city to make this mixed use area as friendly to residential living as possible. Cambridge should not forget that we're here, nestled amongst the busy streets and shops.
You may also be interested in a bit of background about me. I run a small but successful software company called Rogue Amoeba. I've run the business since co-founding it in 2002, and have seen it grow to its current size, employing 10 people around the world. I think I've got a good head for business, which should be useful on the board.
